At Bombay Trooper, we love nature. But you can’t love something without caring about it. While we’re out chasing sunsets and mountain highs, we’re making sure we’re not leaving behind plastic lows.
So here’s the deal: plastic is everywhere. It sneaks into oceans, clogs up landfills, and overstays its welcome like that one guest at a house party. While the world figures out how to ditch plastic completely, we’re doing our bit to clean up the mess that’s already out there.
Enter Recircle
We’ve teamed up with fellow nature loving folks at ReCircle through their Plastic Neutral Program. What that means is — for every bit of plastic our products use, we’re recovering double that amount from the environment.
Yep, you heard that right.
So, if your Trooper gear has, say, 240 grams of plastic in it, we’re pulling out the equivalent of 25-30 plastic bottles weighing ~500 grams from the world and putting them to better use.
Because adventure should leave memories, not microplastics.
How does this work?
STEP 1: COLLECTION
Plastic waste (even the really hard-to-recycle, low-value stuff) is collected from informal waste workers, households, offices, and more.
STEP 2: PRE-PROCESSING
It’s sorted, cleaned (if needed), then either baled up or shredded into bite-sized pieces. No plastic smoothie, don’t worry.
STEP 3: PROCESSING
The plastic then heads off to its new life — as roads, energy, or other cool things, thanks to some pretty smart processors.
CERTIFICATION? OH YEAH.
We keep it clean and transparent. Our plastic recovery is fully traceable, certified, and documented — open for anyone to peek into. Just give us a shout.
